EFFECT OF SOWING DATES ON SEED YIELD, YIELD TRAITS AND OIL CONTENT OF SAFFLOWER IN NORTHWEST TURKEY

The aim of this research was to evaluate the impact variety, location and sowing dates on some yield quality traits safflower. field experiments study were carried out in spring season 2017 2018 under ecological conditions Suleymanpasa Malkara districts Tekirdag. experiment laid as a split plot design based randomized complete block with three replications, which cultivars constituted main two varieties (Dincer Balci), sub-plot four (20 February, 5 March, 20 March April) both locations. Results showed that variation had significant effect seed yield, oil content safflower variety. significantly affected by it seriously decreased time delayed (418 553 kg ha-1 higher February compared April production year). highest obtained from (1391.89 1493.44 ha-1, respectively). As result, because is crucial factor for safflower, should be done early possible spring.
